Since the ECG paper are made of thermal paper, there are some things to pay attention to when saving them.If not stored properly, it will degrade the quality of the paper.

The production principle of thermal paper is to apply particle powder on the ordinary paper base, the composition is colorless dye phenol or other acidic substances, separated by a film, under the condition of heat, the film melts, and the powder mixes to develop a color reaction.

So how do we save ECG paper?

1. Store in a room with a temperature of 18-35°C and a relative humidity of 20%-65%.

2. Do not place the recording paper in a high temperature and humid environment.

3. The recording paper should avoid direct sunlight and strong light (infrared or ultraviolet rays).

4. Do not store together with PVC, chemicals, such as alcohol, acetone, ethanol, glue, detergent, etc.

5. It is recommended to use polyene, polypropylene, and multi-layer resin as packaging materials.

In short, recording paper should be stored in a dry, cool and dark place, avoiding exposure to high temperature, high humidity, sunlight or fluorescent light. Failure to do so may cause discoloration of the surface of the recording paper. At the same time, avoid high temperature above 40 degrees and liquid contamination.
